Dave Campbell's 2017 Texas Football Rising Magazine Cover

Dave Campbell's Texas Football was created in the spring of 1960 at a kitchen table in Waco, Texas. The goal of this publication was to keep football fans in the state of Texas up to date on their favorite teams. It remains the only magazine dedicated to every high school, college, and NFL team in the state of Texas to this day.

The magazine contacted me looking for a cover design for their annual recruiting issue, Texas Football Rising. This issue features Keaontay Ingram, a top running back prospect out of Carthage High School. The editors wanted to feature a photo in which Ingram is breaking out of his high school uniform, exposing a University of Texas (the school he committed to) uniform beneath it.

To do this, I essentially needed to do an entire jersey swap on Ingram (as seen in the breakdown below) so that I could get the best possible outcome with layer masks.
